Esta camiseta rinde homenaje al Albacete Balompié campeón de Segunda División en la temporada 1990–91, el año del histórico ascenso a Primera que cambió para siempre la dimensión del club. Fue la confirmación de un proyecto serio y ambicioso, construido desde el orden y la competitividad, que llevó al Albacete a la élite por primera vez en su historia reciente.
Fue el Albacete dirigido por Benito Floro, con futbolistas clave como José Luis Zalazar, Catali, Corbalán y Antonio López, un equipo que combinó oficio, carácter y una identidad muy clara. Una camiseta asociada al inicio del llamado Queso Mecánico, símbolo de un club que pasó de aspirar a sobrevivir a atreverse a competir sin complejos.
