Esta camiseta rinde homenaje al Espanyol de la temporada 1982–83, en el viejo Sarrià, cuando el blanquiazul se mantenía firme en Primera División con una identidad seria y competitiva, hecha más de oficio que de brillo.
Fue el año en que Sarrià empezó a tener un ídolo bajo palos con Thomas N’Kono, y en el que nombres como John Lauridsen, Marañón y Job sostuvieron al equipo desde el carácter y la continuidad. Una camiseta maravillosa para una maravillosa minoría.
