Fue el Mallorca de Samuel Eto’o, decisivo y desatado, y de Ariel Ibagaza, talento y pausa en cada ataque, acompañados por hombres clave como Walter Pandiani, Leo Franco, Nadal, Albert Riera o Álvaro Novo, con Gregorio Manzano al mando.
La final ante el Recreativo, resuelta con autoridad, convirtió esta camiseta en símbolo eterno del mallorquinismo y de una generación irrepetible.
